To do our work as good as possible, we need your data in certain occasions. In that case, we will collect and process your personal data. Of course, we understand that your privacy is of great value. We believe it is important that you know what information we use, for what purpose, how long and with whom we share your data. To offer more clarity we created this privacy policy.
What data do we collect?
If you visit our website or use one of our services, we collect your data. Which data we collect specifically depends on what you use and how you use it. Not all information we collect is personal data. For instance, a visit to our website is anonymous. There are two categories of data we collect and process:
- Personal data that you provide or is provided by the company you work for. This data mostly concerns your name, email address, and phone number.
- Meta data is collected or generated when you use a computer or when you send data through the internet. These include: connection type, IP addresses, operating system of the computer and browser. This data will only be collected to optimize the use and content of our website to the preferences and desires of the visitors.
For what purpose do we collect the data?
There are different specified, explicit and legitimate purposes why we would need your data. We will never unnecessary collect or process your data. Once the data has reached its goal, it will be removed by us. The different purposes, can be divided into the following categories:
- Training and workshops
If you are participating in a training or workshop with us, we would need your email address, name and phone number. Your name is required for the certificate of participation and for the benefit of the attendance list. Your email address is required to ensure that you get the online training environment and training materials sent to you from our training supplier Splunk. And last but not least, we need your phone number for unforeseen circumstances, so we can contact you quickly.
- Products (Hardware, software and support)
When purchasing a product with maintenance and support we need the name, business address and the e-mail address of the end user. This information must be forwarded to our supplier to register these products properly. This may also be a general generated department and email address, as long as it contains the domain name of the customer. Furthermore, if you want to use our support portal we need your name and email address as a user of the product, so that you can get access to our portal and can register support tickets. If your company decides not to extent the support agreement, we will remove the data which is no longer needed.
- Marketing (newsletter, updates etc.)
We offer you the opportunity to sign up for our newsletter and other updates. If you give us your explicit consent, we will subscribe your email address and name in our mailing tool. We use this data only for marketing purposes such as sending news articles and information which we expect are relevant to you. You can easily unsubscribe at any time.
- Vacancies
When you respond and leave your details to a vacancy, we will use that data only for the purposes of the application process. By sending in your resume, you agree with sharing this with the employees who are involved in the decision process of the application. When it is not a match, we will remove all your data at the end of the process.
Based on what grounds do we lawfully process your data?
There are different forms of lawfulness processing. We process your data only if and to the extent that at least one of the following applies:
- You have given consent to the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes;
- Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract;
- Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation.
Where is your data stored?
We will retain personal data as long as reasonably necessary for the explained purposes and to comply with fiscal and legal retention obligations. We use a Cloud-based environment of Google to process and store your data. In addition, we have an internal server where some data is retained and a remote server for our website in the Netherlands.
With which external parties do we share your information?
In some cases, we provide your data to third parties if necessary. However, we will never sell your data to third parties. As indicated earlier, we need to share your data with our external service providers and suppliers, for the delivery of your purchased service or product. We only share the strictly necessary data and this will not give a third party the right to process your data for any other purpose. They may use the data only to perform the service or deliver a product. An example is the passing of an email address of a student to our training supplier, so that they can ensure the student has access to the online training environment.
Most data remains within the European Union or the EEA with the transmission. If it is necessary to send the data outside of the EU, then we only work with parties that provide adequate protection according to the European rules. For instance, our American partners fall under the Privacy Shield.

How do we deal with security?
Making sure that your personal data is protected, is very important to us. We take all appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing. In case we are familiar with a breach, then we will inform both you and the Data Protection Authority within 24 hours.
Modify or delete your data?
If you are interested in what data of you we process, feel free to contact us. If certain data is not correct, then you have the ability to change it. In addition, you can ask us to remove your data. If you previously have given permission for processing your data, then you can withdraw this consent.
Also, you have the right to restriction of processing. This allows the processing to be temporarily paused and only with your permission data processing can take place again. There is also the right to data portability. You will get your data in a usable and readable format. This applies to electronic data that we use for the performance of a contract or for which you have given consent.
There are exceptions in which we may refuse your request, for example if we process certain data on the basis of a legal obligation. If this occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible.
